Larry Thompson holds a Florida General Contractors license and Studied Accounting & Finance at International University and Webber International University, respectively, with a long-distinguished career in the home building industry. Over the last twenty plus years, he has been responsible for the construction of almost 10,000 homes during his time in the home building industry. He has built everything from entry-level to custom high-end homes, and mid-rise multifamily construction as well.

Larry began his career with a leading National Builder in Construction Operations, specializing in start-up Operations, cost engineering and construction defect remediation. During this time, Larry assembled a Stucco Think Tank, compromised of ASTM members, Architect & Engineers to identify and remediate the latent construction defect problem that plagued the industry during the early 2000’s. This effort resulted in Larry authoring the Wall Assembly Manual, which set the standard for installation of stucco over frame construction. He was promoted to Division Manager concluding his career as Florida Regional Manager, before starting THOMCO of Florida LLC (a General Contracting business) and Carpenter Homes LLC (a home building company) in 2019. He currently sits on the Conservation Land Acquisition Selection Committee in District 5 in Polk County
